I’m a Senior UI/UX Designer with 25 years of experience turning complex ideas into thoughtful digital products. I sit at a slightly unusual intersection: I understand the design, I understand the code behind it, and most importantly I care deeply about the human being on the other side of the screen.

For me, good design isn’t just beautiful or functional. It should feel intuitive, meaningful, and genuinely enjoyable to use.

UI / UX Design

I design user-centred digital products from research and validation through to polished, production-ready interfaces. Grounded in empathy and mental models, I prioritise clarity, flow, and usability, turning business goals into experiences where every detail supports real user needs.

Development

I've built for the web for over 25 years with full-stack depth and a frontend-first mindset. I craft bespoke, interactive experiences in modern frameworks, designing with technical constraints in mind so vision translates cleanly from concept to production-ready code.

Teaching & Leadership

Alongside industry work, I've lectured at Perth universities, coordinated units, and created courses. As Lead Mentor at Institute of Code in Bali and Melbourne, teaching sharpened my ability to communicate clearly, mentor teams, and think structurally.

Outside the pixels

When I’m not designing things, I’m usually making, reading about, or obsessing over something else entirely. I’ve always had one foot in the arts, particularly photography and sculpture, and I’m equally happy disappearing down rabbit holes of Platonic philosophy, Jungian psychology, and the occasional unhealthy amount of dinosaur trivia.

And, as a slightly unexpected side quest, I’m also a recreational pilot. So yes: designer, artist, philosophy nerd, dinosaur enthusiast, and occasionally trusted with an aeroplane.
