My Best Asset

I bring a rare, end-to-end understanding of the digital product lifecycle — from idea validation and business logic through to user experience, design, and delivery.

After years of working directly with clients as a freelancer, consultant, and designer, I know what makes products succeed in the real world. I translate business goals into clear product strategy, ground decisions in user research and empathy, and design experiences where clarity, flow, and usability drive value.

User-Centred by Default

My design philosophy is unapologetically user-centred.

If users can’t understand it, enjoy it, or complete their tasks quickly, the product fails. Everything I design is informed by user needs, mental models, and behaviour — validated through research where required, and refined through careful attention to detail.

Great UX isn’t decoration. It’s clarity, intention, and momentum.

Design × Development

I’ve been building for the web since I was 14 — over 25 years in the industry — and I sit comfortably at the intersection of design and development.

My full-stack background allows me to design with real technical constraints in mind, collaborate deeply with engineers, and ensure design vision translates cleanly into production. This continuity from concept to code is what enables me to ship high-quality, real-world products exactly as imagined.

Leadership & Teaching

Alongside industry work, I’ve lectured at two major universities in Perth, coordinated units, created courses, and delivered online education.

I’ve also worked in private education as Lead Mentor at Institute of Code, teaching web design and development in Bali and Melbourne. Teaching has sharpened my ability to communicate clearly, think structurally, and mentor teams — all essential skills for senior design roles.

Beyond UX

I’m creatively driven outside of digital design as well — with long-standing interests in photography, sculpture, music, philosophy, and psychology. I also have a background in aviation as a recreational pilot, which shaped my respect for systems, precision, and calm decision-making.

These influences quietly inform how I think about experience, structure, and meaning.
